Water Blaster Filter – Why You Need One!

water blaster help in action

Terry’s No 1 Water Blaster Help Tip is to look after your water blaster/pressure washer?

“Dirty water can be the biggest killer!”

Water Blasters work best with nice clean water. A water blaster filter is essential if you use bore water or other dirty water. No filter, or a dirty filter, means the water used in your water blaster may be contaminated and cause damage.

Bore and dam water that is running low can suck sand into your water blaster.

If you run sand through the pumps you can:

  • End up pitting all your valves… 3 inlet 3 outlet valves
  • You will lose pressure
  • Water will become abrasive and cause damage
  • Wear out your nozzles

but the valves are the worse. Once you lose pressure, then it’s off to us to get repaired!

Regular Maintenance on your water blaster filter will

reduce this happening

Karcher make the best filter. It is clear, so you can see into it. It’s easy to clean.

You can see the debri.

Simply unscrew, pull out the filter insert and wash it under the tap, then put back in.

Screws straight onto your tap inlet. Most water blasters are ¾ inch – same thread as your standard garden hose outlet.

Purchase, readymade, off the shelf and you can fit them yourself.
